Make a photo smaller than 20 KB
For forms that reject photos over 20 KB. The limit is already set, so just add your photo.
If it doesn't fit
- The form also gives pixel dimensions
- Use Resize Image to set the exact width and height first, then come back here.
- It needs to be a JPG
- It already will be. Photos are saved as JPG here, which every form accepts.
- It comes out blurry
- Small limits like 20 KB leave little room for detail. Crop out the background first so the space goes to what matters.
How to use it
- Add your JPG, PNG or WebP images.
- Choose a quality and, optionally, a maximum size in pixels.
- Click Compress and download the smaller files.
Questions
How much smaller will my images get?
Phone photos usually shrink by 60 to 90%. Images that were already compressed may only shrink a little; if a file would get bigger, we give you the original back.
Should I pick JPG or WebP?
WebP gives the smallest files and works in every modern browser. Pick JPG if the image is going somewhere older, like some email clients or government forms.
Why does my PNG not get smaller?
PNG is lossless, so there is little to squeeze. Convert it to JPG or WebP with the format option for much smaller files, unless you need transparency.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens in your browser and your files never leave your device.
