Questions

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default since iOS 11. It saves space, but many Windows PCs, websites and older apps cannot open it. JPG works everywhere.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The converter runs entirely in your browser. Your photos are never sent to a server, which you can confirm by turning off your internet after the page loads.

Can I convert lots of photos at once?

Yes. Select as many as you like. Very large batches depend on your device's memory, so on a phone convert a few dozen at a time.

Will I lose quality?

JPG is a lossy format, but at 90% quality the difference is not visible for normal viewing. Use 100% if you plan to edit the photos.
